A4 menu holders being used for monster stats.
The side with game stats faces DM... ...while the side with the monster image faces the players to induce pant shitting and bed wetting. An A5 version for lesser monsters. Easier to display multiple monsters this way. -

The warping issue o this project turned out to be a temporary issue, but I will be sticking this down onto a board base to make it more solid and to give it a bit more weight.
Last image is of the first coar of Mod Podge mixed with a bit of black paint. About to add a coat of dark grey and then a few passes with dry brush. May finish off with matt varnish? -

This was not really my intention starting off, but I've attached the project to a 12x12 inch board so it could be used in large scale strategic games. 1 inch would equal 60ft here, so a 3x3 inch square would represent our regular play area using the 12 inch boards.

I found these plastic cutting mats at Aldi for about $5 for a six pack.
They have this rubber antislip surface on the underside, so instantly though they'd be great material for scenery bases. I made a couple of dungeon tiles by sticking some egg carton straight onto it. I was going to bulk it up a bit so it could line up with dwarven forge stuff ... but I was impatient. Turned out great. Hot glue gun sticks to the cutting board material like a champ! Using it to ase the desert scenery. . -

Coming along okay. The filler shrinks a bit as it dries, so there was a little bit of warping. Hoping to sort it out before I seal it. But test pieces are looking okay so far. . -

Modular flying pirate ship coming along...
The rows of pop sticks on the deck are 3 inches long so a player could judge how far their character can move using them. 1 plank length is 15 feet, and you can visualise "tic-tac-toe" style fractions within 3 inches. They are also arranged in rows 3 sticks wide - about 1 inch. It's the grid you have when you're not using a grid. . -
